That's a good question. The answer is, virtually anyone with a structural problem.
Back pain, neck pain, and especially patients with scoliosis are definite candidates
for our treatment. What I do in my office is specifically designed to correct
the causes of these conditions.
Cervical Lumbar and disc herniations can be corrected as well. In the case of
disc herniations, the twisted bones that are putting pressure on the structures
will be corrected. Hence, the cause of the problem will be corrected, and the
pain will be removed. Remember, it's the bones that are slipping forward, and
then twist to compensate, that are causing the problem.
So many lower back surgeries fail after several years because although the surgeons remove the protruding disc material, he does not correct the structural imbalances that are occurring throughout the spine.
Arthritis, sprained muscles, pulled tendons, chronic shoulder bursitis, and impingement syndrome All of these conditions can be treated effectively and corrected. Why? These conditions are occurring because your spine is probably crooked. I fix the cause, and in turn, I fix the problem. I have 100% confidence in my ability to help. So will you.
Let's take a look at an orthopedists favorite diagnosis - Impingement Syndrome. In the case of IP, one of the shoulder tendons gets caught in the joint underneath your collarbone and shoulder bone. This joint is called the Acromial-Clavicular joint. Over time with repetitive use the tendons swells and causes pain. How can our Chiropractic technique correct this condition? Well, try this test. Remove your shirt and stand in front of a full length mirror. Let your arms hang loosely at your sides. Focus your attention at the level of your elbows, note the space that is formed between the inside of your arm and your torso. Are the spaces equal, or one space greater than the other. Now look at your shoulders. Are your shoulders level, or is one shoulder higher than the other? These differences can help you see how your spine twists and leans in different directions. The more your spine twists and compensates, the more difficult it will become for your shoulders to function normally.
Think of an automobile that has been in an accident. If the frame has been bent and not corrected, you will buy new tires only to have them wear out unevenly again and again. If you have been in a serious car accident or fall, you really need to be treated as soon as possible. Why? Because your body will begin to "heal" and over time adapt to its new and twisted position. After a while, you may injure yourself again, or even move the wrong way (sound familiar?) and hurt yourself again. And your body will "adapt" to that. In every case, you'll twist and adapt into another position. Each time you twist or shift, your body will become more and more unstable. My point is that it's important that you get treated immediately after an accident do NOT wait until after you heal !!!
In closing, I sincerely want to help. If you have questions about specific conditions, and want to know if I can help, please go to the "Contact" tab and I will reply back to you.
Good Luck, and Be Well.
